Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Receptionist to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the front office.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Check-in and Check-out: Register and process check-in for all arrivals, handle guest check-outs efficiently and professionally, and update guest information into the computer after a complete check-in.
  2. Cashiering and Foreign Exchange: Accountable for cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audits tasks, and settlement upon Guests' departure.
  3. Reservation and Guest Service: Handle walk-in counter reservations at all times, process call-in reservations when the room reservations section is closed, and provide friendly and courteous service to guests, responding promptly to all requests and inquiries.
  4. Security and Safety: Handle issuance of guest room key cards, ensure effective control for guest security, and check and convey messages, mail, and packages to guests.
  5. Team Collaboration: Assist at the Information counter, Foreign Exchange, Night Audit, and Business Centre, as assigned, and have knowledge of the hotel rate codes, packages, segmentation, discounts, and how to handle each.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager, be aware of the hotel accident prevention policies, and ensure the cleanliness and neatness of the front office area.
  7. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all guests are greeted on arrival and departure of the hotel, review the log book, verify outstanding issues, and follow up on pending requests.
  8. Operational Efficiency: Check hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, and VIPs, and at the end of the shift or the day, communicate all information that the next shift needs to know for a well-running operation.
  9. Pre-Arrival Preparation: Prepare for daily arrivals in terms of room allocations, amenities, and special requests of the guests.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Maintain continuous contact with hotel guests to ensure that any problems or complaints are handled efficiently and courteously, review and update the log book, and check equipment.
  11. Professionalism and Integrity: Be smart, well-groomed, and maintain a friendly and cheerful disposition at all times, oversee day-to-day operations, report regularly on happenings to the Assistant Front Office Manager, follow fire procedures, and adhere to first aid procedures.
  12. Guest Complaints: Handle guest complaints and report to the manager.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Hotel Management, minimum 1 year in a similar role at a star hotel.
