We are seeking a Chief Data Transformation Officer to join our team at TUI Musement. As a key member of our data science and analytics team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our platform and tools, working closely with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.
TUI Musement is a leading provider of destination experiences, operating in 49 countries and serving 14 million guests annually. Our company offers a wide range of products and services, from excursions and activities to tours, transfers, and guest services. We are part of the TUI Group, the world's largest tourism group.
This role comes with an estimated salary of $140,000-$170,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes attractive remuneration, bonus opportunities, exclusive travel perks, and extensive health and wellbeing support.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in building scalable and efficient data pipelines using AWS cloud services. You will be responsible for defining cutting-edge data engineering frameworks, building and optimizing data engineering & ML/AI tools, and collaborating with your team in an agile environment to deliver top-tier results.
About the Job
- Design and build scalable enterprise data platforms within the cloud (AWS), ensuring future-proof data architecture.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and dynamic pipelines using orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and technical teams to communicate technical details and big-picture concepts.
- Participate in the design and modeling of data sharing frameworks for analytical and operational purposes.
- Contribute to the optimization of internal processes, reducing manual work, improving data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater efficiency.
About You
- You hold a degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
- Proficient in Python, API frameworks like FastAPI or Flask, and CI/CD frameworks such as GitLab.
- Demonstrated expertise in building data and ML pipelines, covering the entire lifecycle in both cases.
- Hands-on experience with containerized solutions using Docker and orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries, with experience using Snowflake and Mongo Atlas.
- A strong understanding of data transformation, metadata management, and workflow orchestration.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
