About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our Communications team as an Entry-Level Communications Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in social media, content creation, and brand management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and schedule content across multiple social media platforms to engage with our online communities and drive brand awareness.
  • Monitor and report on social media metrics, content performance, and campaign results to inform future strategies.
  • Support the growth and nurturing of our social media audiences, increasing engagement rates and valuable actions.
  • Collaborate with the team to create messaging that aligns with the brand and its personality, driving audiences towards action.
  • Execute A/B and multivariate growth tests to optimize content and improve performance.
  • Be audience-centric, focusing on platform and community moderation, as well as direct audience engagement.
  • Create awareness on integrated campaigns, product launches, webinar series, industry announcements, and core content.
  • Promote Canonical's product offerings and educational material creatively, from bare metal to Kubernetes, and chats on diversity and CSR.
Requirements
  • Understanding of social media and communications best practices.
  • Hands-on knowledge of social media management tools like Sprout Social, and an understanding of web analytics tools (social and web like Google Analytics).
  • Proficiency with at least four social media platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit.
