Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at Pathways For Children as part of the CAELESTIS project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing extensions to the COMPSs runtime and developing support services for the project platform.

About the Role:

The CAELESTIS project aims to design and predictive manufacturing of next-generation aircraft structures. As a Software Developer, you will be part of the Workflows and Distributed Computing group at BSC, focusing on research regarding programming models for distributed computing. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing extensions to the COMPSs runtime for the CAELESTIS project
  • Developing support services for the CAELESTIS project
  • Collaborating with other research team members in the Workflows and Distributed Computing group
  • Contributing to the CAELESTIS project
  • Contributing to the COMPSs manual illustrating how to use the newly developed features

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in runtime systems and system software
  • Knowledge of Distributed Computing
  • Good programming skills in Java and C, and/or Python

Additional Requirements:

Prior experience in PyCOMPSs/COMPSs and its runtime is highly desirable.
