**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) in Spain. The successful candidate will be working on the CAELESTIS project, which aims to design and predictively manufacture next-generation aircraft structures.

**About the Role**

The Software Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing extensions to the COMPSs runtime for the CAELESTIS project. Additionally, they will develop support services for the project platform. The candidate will work closely with other research members on the team and contribute to the CAELESTIS project.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Development of extensions to the COMPSs runtime for the CAELESTIS project
  • Development of support services for the CAELESTIS project
  • Active participation in the project, attending project meetings, collaborating with partners, and writing deliverables

**Requirements**

  • Computer science degree or similar, or a student finalizing the studies
  • Essential knowledge and professional experience in runtime systems and system software
  • Knowledge of Distributed Computing
  • Good programming skills in Java and C, and/or Python
  • Previous experience in PyCOMPSs/COMPSs and its runtime

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Fluency in spoken and written English, while fluency in other European languages will be also valued
