Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Development Engineer to join our Reliability and Automation Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and automating infrastructure, tools, and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy infrastructure, tools, and systems to meet the needs of our customers and team
  • Coordinate with internal teams to identify and remove infrastructure improvement areas through automation
  • Contribute to the forward-looking vision for the team and help improve operational excellence by reducing technical debt
  • Operate and engineer systems on a large scale, gaining top-notch experience in systems development

About the Team

Our team mission is to provide a global, structured, energy-efficient maintenance strategy for material handling equipment (MHE) to improve machine performance, lifetime, and reduce overall cost of maintenance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Experience in professional software development and designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
