We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Alstom in Madrid, Spain. As an Indirect Buyer, you will play a critical role in leading the main Indirect categories in scope, including business and corporate management consultation services, temporary labor, recruitment, and communication services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Strategic Plans: Develop long-term strategic plans for the entire spend area within Corporate Services for the Spain and Portugal Cluster.
- Manage Procurement Activities: Manage in-country (Spain and Portugal) procurement activities and deliver on the savings plan, managing relevant policies.
- Build Relationships: Manage requestors and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies.
- Coordinate Services: Coordinate the introduction of new and modified services with appropriate departments.
- Advise on Contracts: Advise on contracts and agreements for the supply of complex services with new and existing suppliers.
- Education: University degree or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience: Previous experience in a buyer role.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven, successful supplier negotiation skills.
- Contract Knowledge: Understanding of contract terms and conditions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication/relationship skills, being a confidential and trustworthy business partner.
- Influence: Ability to influence others.
- Risk Management: Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations.
- Soft Skills: Accuracy, problem solving, planning and organization, result orientation, service orientation, and ability to perform in stress situations.
- Indirect Procurement Experience: Experience working within Indirect procurement, preferably Corporate or professional services categories.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English, proficiency in French is a plus.
- ARIBA S2C: ARIBA S2C.
