We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Manager, Data Center Engineering Operations to join our team at Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. in Zaragoza, ESP.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations, ensuring seamless integration with our global infrastructure.
- Manage a team of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work performed aligns with Amazon's best practices and procedures.
- Take primary responsibility for engineering systems availability in both leased and colocated facilities, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.
- Typically manage 5 or more direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Negotiate and roll out contracts, defining and auditing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in recruiting efforts, continually raising the bar for hiring and talent acquisition.
- Engage in the training and development of others, promoting knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
- Conduct project management for multiple sites, driving cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Draw upon a deep understanding of business operations to make informed decisions, setting priorities and developing project plans that drive results.
- Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including IT managers and business leaders.
- Employ strong attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Insist on the highest standards from self and others, driving accountability for results and excellence in all aspects of the role.

- Collaborate with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, and more.
