The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to lead our plant's quality efforts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for executing and deploying our Strategic Quality Plan, ensuring product flow consistent with internal and external standards, and providing total quality leadership to our customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the quality/customer interface to proactively ensure requirements are understood and satisfied.
  • Lead the problem resolution process, including ensuring timely deadlines are met and using standard reporting tools.
  • Responsible for Customer Scorecard performance and engaging applicable departments in root cause/corrective action activity.
  • Manage the Plant Quality Department and lead the implementation and verification of quality management systems.
  • Oversee auditing of internal quality systems and industry quality system requirements.
  • Monitor production part approval documentation to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Analyze organizational quality metrics and perform managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans.
  • Ensure functional participation in product development and launch activities.
  • Approve process-related quality documentation and validate quality lab and verification of associated product and/or evaluation requirements.
  • Confirm completion of daily production line startup verification and own the initiation and authorization of product containment activity.
  • Have authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of non-conformance or safety risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a quality function in a manufacturing environment in the automotive sector.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role in a quality department.
  • Fluency in English.
