About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Kimpton. As a Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for managing food and beverage operations to ensure quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Develop and improve team performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
  • Train colleagues to ensure compliance and delivery to expected standards.
  • Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry innovation, reviewing and approving menu design and concepts with the Executive Chef.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the hotel's annual budget and the setting of departmental goals.
  • Monitor budget and control expenses, focusing on food, beverage, and labor costs.
  • Identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue, working with the catering office.
  • Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at a good value.
  • Ensure secure handling of credit and financial transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field.
  • 2 years of related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in local languages and English; additional languages will be highly valuable.
  • Oracle MICROS knowledge will be highly valuable.
  • Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, empathetic, team-worker, and passionate about service.
