Postdoctoral Researcher in Rare Disease Therapy Development

We are seeking an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Fundació per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will play a key role in the development of RNA-based therapies for rare diseases, including muscular dystrophies.
Our team is part of the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA), funded by the EU, which aims to improve the health and well-being of the 30 million people living with a rare disease in Europe. You will have the opportunity to work in a thriving clinical research centre with state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research in the development of RNA-based therapies for rare diseases, including muscular dystrophies.
- Collaborate with our team to design and implement experiments to test the efficacy of RNA-based therapies.
- Contribute to the development of gene editing tools and techniques for rare disease research.
- Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier scientific journals.
- PhD in a relevant Life Sciences discipline.
- Previous experience in similar projects and with gene editing tools will be advantageous.
- Publications and official participation in research projects will be highly valued.
- English proficiency.
- 3-year contract.
- Initial salary range 24,000 to 27,000 euros net salary depending on experience.
