We are seeking a highly skilled Senior 3D Character Artist to join our team at Importante Empresa. As a key member of our art department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D character assets, from sculpting to implementation in the engine.
Key Responsibilities- Character Asset Creation: Develop a diverse range of high-quality character assets, including sculpting, modeling, and texturing.
- Pipeline Management: Take ownership of specific segments of the character pipeline and oversee the day-to-day management of its contents.
- Modeling and Texturing: Create both high and low poly models with a focus on technical specifications, and produce high-quality, game-ready textures.
- Collaboration: Partner with Tech Art and Engineering throughout development to ensure assets are functionally sound and optimized for engine/platform constraints.
- Innovation and Optimization: Explore opportunities to technically innovate, streamline tools and processes, and champion best practices for the team.
- Mentorship and Teamwork: Assist fellow artists and concept artists in discovering techniques for creating shapes and surfaces that utilize topology effectively, and work well with other character artists across the team.
- Experience: An accomplished artist with 5+ years of experience within the character art discipline, with game development experience using Unreal and/or Unity.
- Skills: Expert knowledge of anatomy, form, silhouette design, and detail hierarchy, exceptional sculpting and poly modeling skills, and comprehensive knowledge of multiple major 3D and 2D packages.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to create high-quality character assets and your experience with modern pipelines and workflows.
- Communication: Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
