Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Alicante (Hybrid 3 days in the office)

Salary: €40-65k DOE

The Windows Server and Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for Windows server and desktop environments, leveraging automated support and monitoring tools to enhance efficiency. This role also involves the management of Inks Active Directory that is used for remote device management, Windows imaging tools, cloud platforms, and developing applications using C#.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Desktop Support: Assist the support team as third-level support for Windows desktop environments, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Utilise automated support and monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and security patching of devices.
  • Assist with the setup and support of peripheral devices (printers, scanners, scales, etc.).
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Utilise Windows imaging tools to deploy and manage desktop images.
  • Creation and management of master Windows (11 and IoT) images.
  • Deployment images to supported devices.
  • Reporting on device health.

Cloud Platforms (Azure or AWS): Knowledge of cloud-based services and infrastructure on Azure or AWS preferred.

C# Development: Develop, test, and maintain in-house applications and tools using C# and.NET. These tools need to work on both Windows and Linux environments.

Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that enhance productivity and user experience.

Debug and resolve application issues, providing timely fixes and updates.
