Job Description

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization within Amazon, responsible for delivering packages to customers worldwide. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our logistics operations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field. You will be responsible for leveraging Amazon Logistic metrics to identify cost-out opportunities, building trusted partnerships with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions, and communicating data in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage Amazon Logistic metrics to identify cost-out opportunities by linking up operations and financials.
  • Understand the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgment calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure.
  • Build trusted partnerships with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions promoting business improvements and cost reductions.
  • Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.
  • Identify risks, evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to remediate gaps.
  • Identify opportunities and lead projects to streamline processes and reports.
  • Supervise and own the financial and operational planning processes to produce a challenging operational plan.
  • Supervise and own all month-end procedures including accruals and variance analysis between scenarios (actuals, Plan, Forecast).
