About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team at CareerWallet. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our API, ensuring it is scalable, efficient, and meets the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement our API using Python and FastAPI, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and meets the needs of our users.
  2. Work with our containerization team to ensure our services are properly containerized and deployed to our Kubernetes cluster.
  3. Optimize our API structure and responses to improve performance and reduce latency.
  4. Collaborate with our development team to improve the developer experience (DevX) and ensure our API is easy to use and integrate.
  5. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
Requirements
  1. 3-5 years of experience building APIs with Python and FastAPI.
  2. Strong understanding of containerization and Kubernetes.
  3. Experience with code optimization and refactoring.
  4. Passion for improving the developer experience (DevX).
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Understanding of Web3 and its applications.
  2. Startup experience and knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  3. Fluency in Spanish and English.
  4. Ability to work in a hybrid work model, with 3 days in the office.
