About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Metricool. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend solutions to support our platform's functionality.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our customers. Your mission will be to design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and related technologies.

You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing RESTful APIs and microservices to integrating with third-party services and APIs. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring code quality through testing and code reviews.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend applications.
  • Integrate with third-party services and APIs.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Backend Java Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks.
  • Experience with SQL databases (e.g. MySQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • High self-management and incident resolution skills.
  • High organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Intermediate level of Spanish and English to effectively communicate with the team.
