Job Opportunity
Quantum Flagship is seeking highly motivated and dynamic young scientists to join our team as Postdoctoral Research Engineers in Quantum Flagship. The successful candidate will be part of our Optoelectronics group, led by Prof. Dr. Valerio Pruneri, and will work on projects aimed at building the next generation of quantum cryptography, entanglement distribution systems, quantum imaging and processing.
About the Role
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in:
- Nonlinear effects and entanglement generation
- Free space communication
- Signal processing (post-processing)
- Software interfaces
Requirements
Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) preferably in Physics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
What We Offer
ICFO is an equal opportunity employer. We offer a competitive salary, a family allowance, and a contract for periods of 1 year, renewable. Additionally, we are funded by the European Union.
Our Team
Our team is currently involved in several European projects and has developed technology for continuous variable quantum key distribution and quantum random number generation, now being commercialized by two ICFO's spin-offs, Luxquanta and Quside, respectively.
