We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to spearhead our data strategy at Appodeal in Barcelona. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy aligned with our business objectives and growth goals. This includes overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Strategy Development: Develop and execute a data strategy that drives business decisions and strategies, leveraging data insights to inform key initiatives.
  • Data Governance: Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework, ensuring policies and standards for data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance are in place.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and technology teams to build a data-centric culture, promoting the use of data analytics and insights in decision-making processes.
  • Talent Management: Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, including data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, MLOps, and product managers, to drive business value.
  • Innovation: Drive the adoption of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to enhance our products and services, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related role, with a proven track record of leading data initiatives at a senior level.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, data observability, and data management best practices; experience with big data technologies, cloud platforms, and data warehousing solutions; proficiency in data analytics, machine learning, and AI frameworks and tools.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team; strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.

Salary: €120,000 - €180,000 per year, depending on experience.
