Associate Director, Generics R&D Sourcing Lead

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Generics R&D Sourcing team at Hikma Pharmaceuticals. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sourcing strategy that drives cost savings, improves quality, and enhances supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan for R&D materials, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Reference Listed Drugs, Clinical Trials, and R&D Consulting.
- Lead the selection and management of suppliers, ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations and controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to negotiate agreements and implement cost reduction programs.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain a database of supplier capabilities and risk assessments, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Lead the development and execution of a performance-driven supplier management process, resulting in structured feedback, joint problem-solving, and quality improvements.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with top-tier suppliers, focusing on governance, competitive advantage, cost management, and quality business results.
- Exceed cost reduction commitments through the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Support Global procurement management in the joint development of negotiation strategies and tactics with R&D suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement programs across site R&D operations.
- Communicate issues and strategies to senior management and R&D teams.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports, identifying and developing potential individual contributors.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Engineering, or Finance (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in R&D sourcing for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and controls.
- Expertise in procurement processes and sourcing of goods and services for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
