Director of US Generics R&D Sourcing

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our US Generics R&D Sourcing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for US Generics, including supplier identification, selection, risk assessment, and contracting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for US Generics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage a database of supplier capabilities and risks, providing recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
- Lead the development and execution of a performance-driven supplier management process, resulting in structured feedback, joint problem-solving, and quality improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure supplier selection, competitive price management, and risk mitigation.
- Support the development of negotiation strategies and tactics with R&D suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate issues and strategies to senior management and R&D teams.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports, identifying and developing potential contributors.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Engineering, or Finance; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in R&D sourcing for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and controls.
- Expertise in procurement processes and sourcing of goods and services for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
