Main Responsibilities:- Advise operations staff on strategic communications, leveraging your expertise in understanding the context of countries within your portfolio, MSF's operations, and the dynamics of the communications environment.
- Guide and support field communication teams in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans to achieve operational priorities and objectives.
- Assess communication needs and priorities to advise on and support the definition and design of a communication strategy and plan of activities to meet objectives for each country/project.
- Provide strategic advice on media management, including identification and segmentation of audience, choosing channels and types of content, and crisis management.
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization that provides assistance to populations in distress, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed, or political affiliation. Our operations are implemented by field teams and mission coordination teams, guided and supported by 5 Operational Cells, the Emergency Unit, and other departments.
Requirements:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Communication Advisor who can provide strategic level support to our operations staff and field communication teams. If you have a strong understanding of the context of countries within your portfolio, MSF's operations, and the dynamics of the communications environment, we encourage you to apply.
