About the Role:
The Product Manager Digital Solutions will play a key role in the global product management team at Hitachi Grid Edge Solutions. The primary responsibility will be to manage and develop a digital application portfolio that provides end-to-end data-driven services for distributed energy systems, enhancing customer value streams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Digital Strategies: Drive the development of strategies and business models for a service and digital portfolio in product management, analyzing customer and internal values that the service and digital offerings provide.
- Market Introduction: Develop market introduction and go-to-market concepts for new digital portfolio elements, ensuring alignment with Hitachi's business objectives.
- Product Roadmap: Own the product roadmap for Digital Solutions in Grid Edge Solutions, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of customers and the market.
- Technical Expertise: Support Sales and Business Development globally as a technical expert, providing insights into digital solutions and their applications.
- Competitive Intelligence: Provide competitive intelligence on service and digital offerings and related business, helping to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Collaboration: Interface with R&D to ensure products meet market requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional project teams to drive project success.
- Partnerships: Establish and manage partnerships with external R&D and production suppliers, driving innovation and growth.
- Requirements Management: Collect and clarify requirements from multiple stakeholders, driving prioritization and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Support the R&D organization in continuously improving processes and ways of working, adopting lean and agile methods to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Customer Focus: Embody a 'voice of customer' mentality, driving a holistic data-driven value creation perspective throughout the engineering organization.
About You:
- Education: University degree or tertiary education in a technical field, with more than 3 years of experience.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in software and digital solutions, power systems, and/or plant automation, with knowledge in IoT infrastructure being a plus.
- Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with an open and direct communication style.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, interfacing with customers, cross-functional teams, and all levels of personnel/management.
- Travel: This position requires the ability and willingness to travel.
- Language: Fluency in local language and English.
