About the Role

We seek an experienced Lead Data Scientist with a strong background in the Retail CPG and Manufacturing industry. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, model, and drive data-driven insights that enhance decision-making and create strategic advantages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply cutting-edge data science to solve business problems in the Retail, CPG, and Manufacturing space.
  • Design and implement advanced predictive models to analyze trends and behaviors in the Retail CPG and Manufacturing sectors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across data engineering, product, and business teams to understand objectives and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Develop data models and pipelines to support analytical and machine-learning initiatives.
  • Leverage domain knowledge in Retail CPG and Manufacturing to produce insights and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and present insights, recommendations, and data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain best practices in data science and machine learning, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance.
  • Cultivate a growing team of experienced Data Scientists through collaboration, coaching, and learning.
  • Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.
Requirements:
  • 9-10+ years of hands-on work experience in Manufacturing.
  • Ability to lead domain conversations on a solution consulting angle.
  • Proficiency in Spanish Language.
  • Expertise in Python (pipeline creation, pytest, data manipulation with Pandas), R, SQL.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling.
  • Awareness of typical data sets available and ability to make recommendations by performing EDA upfront and suggesting strategies around overall Data Wrangling and cleanup.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Retail CPG industry, especially Smart Manufacturing Experience.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific Data Systems - Manufacturing Control Tower, Manufacturing Systems around Global Shop Floor Tools, MES, historian, SAP.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year
