Position Overview: We are seeking three skilled engineers to enhance our Testing Services division within Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.

Role Responsibilities: The engineers will cultivate both technical and project management capabilities, overseeing and executing testing and maintenance operations at our headquarters and client sites. Our current portfolio encompasses Nuclear Power Plants, as well as various electrical generation facilities and industrial operations.

Technical Expertise: The Testing Services team specializes in a diverse array of technical disciplines, primarily focusing on electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation sectors, related to the evaluation and upkeep of plant components and systems. This includes the development, maintenance, and calibration of testing apparatus.

Current Focus Areas:

  • Valve Services, which includes: Containment leak testing (both LLRT and ILRT) and diagnostics and maintenance of motor and air-operated valves.

Training and Development: New hires will be guided based on their educational background, skills, prior experience, and personal interests. Comprehensive training and qualification will be provided in both technical and project management domains, tailored to the candidates' existing knowledge and expertise.

Main Duties:

  • Oversee and conduct maintenance and inspection/testing tasks at client facilities and headquarters.
  • Draft and produce result reports, procedural documents, quality assurance documentation, and maintenance manuals.
  • Evaluate test outcomes, perform calculations, and propose enhancements.
  • Prepare technical proposals.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Manage testing equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and inspections. Drive improvements and develop new tools through research and development.
  • Engage actively in the continuous improvement process, including technology monitoring, self-education, and training of junior staff.
  • With experience, transition into project management responsibilities, including personnel organization, deadline and priority definition, direct client communication, and leadership of activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred; degrees in electronics or instrumentation are also acceptable).
  • Willingness to travel to client facilities for outage projects, both nationally and internationally.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
  • A strong technical inclination, ability to multitask, flexibility, understanding of project priorities, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Previous technical experience in industrial and nuclear sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
