Position Overview: We are seeking skilled engineers to enhance our Testing Services division within Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.

Role Responsibilities: The selected candidates will cultivate both technical and project management expertise, overseeing testing and maintenance operations at various facilities. Our current projects encompass Nuclear Power Plants and other energy generation facilities.

Technical Expertise: The Testing Services team specializes in a broad spectrum of technical domains, primarily focusing on electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines related to the evaluation and upkeep of plant components and systems. This includes the development, maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Valve Services, which involves containment leak testing and diagnostics for motor and air-operated valves.

Training and Development: New hires will receive tailored training based on their educational background, skills, and prior experience. This will encompass both technical and project management training, designed to enhance their current knowledge and capabilities.

Main Duties:

  • Supervise and execute maintenance and inspection/testing tasks at various facilities.
  • Draft and develop reports, procedures, quality documentation, and maintenance manuals.
  • Analyze test outcomes, conduct calculations, and propose enhancements.
  • Prepare technical tenders.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Manage testing equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and improvements.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including technology monitoring and training of junior staff.
  • Over time, transition into project management roles, organizing personnel, defining timelines, and leading activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred; electronics and instrumentation degrees are also acceptable).
  • Willingness to travel for projects.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
  • Strong technical interest, multitasking ability, flexibility, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in industrial or nuclear settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
