Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Converter Engineer to integrate into our converter development team, specializing in power electronics for renewable applications. Your contributions will be essential in:
- Reviewing certification standards for converters and control systems across wind, solar, and battery sectors.
- Establishing testing protocols to meet certification criteria.
- Designing and managing test setups for validation and certification processes.
- Defining and implementing instrumentation for data collection.
- Collaborating with external laboratories for specific certification evaluations.
- Generating comprehensive test reports.
- Supporting manufacturing test benches.
- Troubleshooting production and field issues.
- Participating in converter validation to ensure adherence to design specifications in collaboration with the entire converter design team.
- Following quality assurance processes during test execution.
- Working alongside other departments to assist in presales, commissioning, and aftersales activities.
- Traveling to various sites as required (approximately 30%).
- Engaging in hands-on validation processes at designated test facilities.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess a strong passion for renewable energy and understand the significance of leading transformative change. Ideal candidates will have:
- A technical engineering degree with a focus on electronics or electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in power electronics, testing instruments, and certification standards.
- A minimum of three years of experience in testing and validating power electronics for renewable energy applications.
- Experience in analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex system issues.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Python or MATLAB is a plus.
