Power Converter Hardware Design Engineer

At Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A., we are committed to making a positive impact on the environment through our innovative solutions. As a Power Converter Hardware Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-power converters for wind applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power converter hardware components, including heatsinks, busbars, capacitors, semiconductors, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct thermal analysis of power converters and develop cooling concepts.
  • Validate power components and ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product testing and certifications.
  • Develop technical specifications and design reports for main power components.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in power electronics converter design, preferably in high-power applications (over 100 kW).
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics topologies and components.
  • Experience in analysis, diagnosis, and problem-solving of power converters.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
