Your primary focus will be on pre-underwriting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly understand risk profiles and seek clarification when necessary.
  • Analyze claims experience to project future potential results, informing underwriting decisions.
  • Obtain sign-off for business exceeding agreed authority levels or deviating from rating guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date underwriting documentation, adhering to Starr's standards.
  • Ensure policy wordings and clauses are slip-referenced and agreed upon.
  • Verify contract certainty for all bound risks.
  • Develop and maintain broker relationships to optimize business opportunities.
  • Reconcile and report premiums due versus received, managing credit control effectively.
  • Log all bound, quoted, working, and declined risks according to guidelines.
