About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Reconocida Empresa. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing software engineering team and driving the development of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 3-8 software engineers and provide guidance and mentorship to help them grow and develop in their careers.
  • Scope and own a problem space, developing a vision and mission statement for the team.
  • Translate business needs into capability build-up and hiring plans, playing a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining great engineering talent.
  • Continuously improve the quality and speed of the team's work, focusing on end-to-end ownership, continuous improvement, testing, monitoring, and experimentation.
  • Drive sound design decisions, identifying technical risks, and making informed decisions.
  • Manage and develop relationships with various stakeholders, including external parties and the company's management team.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering new products in complex and high-transaction environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in acting independently, coupled with strong collaboration and coordination skills.
  • A desire to spend a significant percentage of time close to the code.
  • Experience in developing, mentoring, and growing a team.
  • Recent experience working with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including JavaScript.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
