Job Summary:

Altair Engineering is seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team in Toledo, OH. This is a contract position that requires a strong background in quality control and assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day quality control and inspection activities to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Supervise hourly and salaried employees, including direct and indirect supervision.
  • Conduct daily audits across all shifts to identify and address quality issues.
  • Develop and implement vehicle control plans to prevent defects and ensure quality products.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of quality-related experience, preferably in manufacturing or assembly plant settings.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and support meetings at all levels.
  • Experience with computer systems and software, including MS Office or Google Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing or assembly plant experience.
  • Lead Auditor Certifications and practical experience.
  • Supervisory experience of hourly personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Previous leadership experience.
