Job Summary:

Altair Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day quality control and inspection activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Supervise a team of quality control specialists and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure that quality control processes are integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain quality control metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and coaching to quality control specialists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as quality assurance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Proven track record of improving quality and efficiency in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing or assembly plant experience.
  • Lead auditor certifications and practical experience.
  • Supervisory experience of hourly personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Previous leadership experience.
