Job Summary
The QA Manager will be responsible for supervising allocated projects, supervising Senior Lead QA Testers, Lead QA Testers, and QA Testers. The successful candidate will provide feedback and liaison with Functional & Compliance QA, Producers, Developers, & other External Departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise allocated projects and ensure timely completion.
- Supervise Senior Lead QA Testers, Lead QA Testers, and QA Testers to ensure high-quality testing.
- Provide feedback and liaison with Functional & Compliance QA, Producers, Developers, & other External Departments.
- Liaise with Platform Holders to ensure guidelines & standards compliance.
- Joint sign-off of development milestones & managing the submission process.
- Manage bug reports, bug database, & QA reports.
- Manage department on a day-to-day basis.
- Performance appraisals of direct reports.
- Raising disciplinary issues as appropriate.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, internally & externally.
- Management skills to include: successfully handling ambiguity, flexibility & understanding of the development process, and maintain good relations with producers & developers.
- Knowledge of bug database systems, QA process, test plan creation, and bug writing process.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Lead QA Tester or equivalent.
- Knowledge of format holder standards (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo).
- Hardworking, reliable, punctual, flexibility to work unsociable hours depending on deadlines.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite, Source Control and Visual Studio.
- Technically proficient with PCs, gaming consoles, and related hardware.
- Ability to liaise with other departments.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively and successfully in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience.
- PC hardware literate.
- Mastering literate.
- Passion for the video games industry.
- Willingness to adopt a broad overview of the department.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication skills and management skills.
- Reliable with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a positive personality to foster excellent working relationships.
