Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, which are the backbone of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center, ensuring that it operates at optimal levels and meets or exceeds defined service levels.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot all data center systems, including incidents, events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation, notification, and resolution.
  • Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
  • Deploy new equipment, such as building racks, cabling, and other tasks as necessary, to ensure that our data centers remain up-to-date and efficient.
  • Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience in data center engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other support teams to drive resolution of problems encountered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
