Job Summary:
As a seasoned Analog Design Engineering Manager at Monolithic Power Systems, you will oversee the activities of a team of Design Engineers in the development of analog and mixed-signal ICs. Your leadership will guide daily activities and annual goals for project and Design teams, ensuring alignment with company standards. You will provide expert guidance and direction to subordinates, contributing to and advising on analog circuit design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of integrated circuits, leveraging expertise in analog circuit design.
- Manage the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Directly oversee the activities of the Design Engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with Department Managers to receive assignments and determine resource allocation based on established policies and procedures.
- Participate in hiring and performance evaluations, identifying top talent and providing constructive feedback.
- Recruit and onboard new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
- Mentor and train analog Design Engineers, fostering growth and development within the team.
Requirements:
- MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, with extensive experience in analog circuit design.
- Expertise in precision and/or power IC design is highly desirable.
- Proven understanding of industry concepts and practices, with the ability to apply good judgment in selecting methods, modules, and techniques throughout the design process.
- Prior experience in successfully managing IC Design Engineers or teams is highly valued.
- Ability to lead and direct activities of Staff-level Engineers, ensuring effective team management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to company locations)
