Role Overview

Omya International seeks an experienced Artificial Intelligence Lead to drive business value from data and strategize with all business functions to support the company's digital transformation.

This role involves designing, planning, overseeing, and enhancing the organization's data management functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a hands-on approach to leading and managing the development and implementation of AI strategies and initiatives across the organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of AI technologies, aiming to improve business outcomes, optimize operations, and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Develop and govern our data strategy to propel business and product development through a data-driven decision-making journey, including creating AI products, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement the company's AI strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead a team of AI specialists, data scientists, engineers, and developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive innovation and achieve departmental goals.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, privacy, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance and effectiveness of AI solutions, conducting regular assessments and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven 8 years of experience in AI strategy development, implementation, and project management within a multinational corporation or similar environment.
  • At least 8 years in management roles, managing stakeholders' demand and expectations, project execution, and people's career development as a senior-level concern for data issues in a multinational company.
  • 5-8 years experience managing and/or directing Artificial Intelligence solutions, projects, architectures, and proposing technical solutions.
  • Certifications in AI, data science, or project management are a plus.
  • Proficiency in English.
