Artificial Intelligence Lead

Omya International is seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Lead to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating business value from data and strategizing with all business functions to support our digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, plan, oversee, and enhance the organization's data management functions.
  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of AI strategies and initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of AI technologies, aiming to improve business outcomes, optimize operations, and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Develop and govern our data strategy to propel business and product development through a data-driven decision-making journey.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement the company's AI strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead a team of AI specialists, data scientists, engineers, and developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive innovation and achieve departmental goals.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, privacy, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance and effectiveness of AI solutions, conducting regular assessments and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or similar areas.
  • Certifications in AI, data science, or project management are a plus.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proven 8 years of experience in AI strategy development, implementation, and project management within a multinational corporation or similar environment.
  • At least 8 years in management roles, managing stakeholders' demand and expectations, project execution, and people's career development as a senior-level concern for data issues in a multinational company.
  • 5-8 years experience managing and/or directing Artificial Intelligence solutions, projects, architectures, and proposing technical solutions.
