Practice OverviewOur Actuarial Services practice is a key area of focus for us. With over 500 actuaries worldwide, we offer a unique combination of actuarial science, data science, and information technology to solve our clients' most demanding challenges.
We bring a broad-based expertise with specialized knowledge of specific risks, allowing us to provide independent, objective advice in the three primary areas of risk: life insurance, property & casualty, and healthcare.
Our consultants work with all major life and non-life (re)insurers in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain & Portugal.
Role DefinitionThe Senior Consultant will be part of a project team and will be given various responsibilities throughout the actuarial projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participation in business development, including contribution to proposals and identification of leads with clients.
- Daily responsibilities for the success of some workstreams within actuarial projects, including project management, methodology setting, and deliverable preparation.
- Development of intellectual capital within the Actuarial Practice.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with 2-5 years of actuarial experience, preferably in the Spanish & Portuguese market. Consulting experience is a plus.
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Actuaries must be from the Spanish Institute of Actuaries or equivalent international actuarial association.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of the value of collaboration and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Deep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
- Highly motivated individual with a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong skills with MS Excel.
Spanish (native/fluent) and English (native/fluent) is a strong asset. Portuguese communication skills is a plus.
