Senior Design Manager

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team at Scruffy Dog Creative Group. As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of design within the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide visionary leadership to the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Mentor and develop designers, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the design team and ensure alignment with the overall strategic direction of the organization.
- Oversee all phases of design projects, from initial concept development to final implementation.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and financial targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks, resolving any issues that may arise during the course of a project.
- Lead the development of production design concepts, ensuring alignment with client requirements and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, to translate design concepts into tangible products.
- Oversee the creation of detailed technical drawings, prototypes, and specifications to facilitate manufacturing and production processes.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing insights, recommendations, and solutions to address their design needs and challenges.
- Conduct research and analysis to understand market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences, and integrate findings into design strategies.
- Present design proposals and concepts to clients, articulating the rationale behind design decisions and advocating for innovative solutions.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship in all design deliverables, maintaining attention to detail and consistency throughout the design process.
- Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of design work, providing constructive feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in design operations.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Additional Qualifications / certifications Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex design projects.
- Chartered / Professional Engineer or other memberships of Professional Institution.
- Prior experience 15+ years project design management experience on large mixed-use development projects in the Middle East.
- Worked for an international consultancy for around 15-20 years.
- Design Management and PMC experience on Theme Parks.
