Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Platform Software Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evolving our data infrastructure, following modern cloud-native best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Architecture, Product Engineering, and Security teams to design and develop the data infrastructure.
- Help make our Technical Platform a self-service offering for Product Engineering teams.
- Contribute to our tooling and automation frameworks for provisioning and scaling the infrastructure.
- Monitor and observe the platform, assessing the health of data pipelines.
- Manage the availability of databases and streaming platforms.
- Detect, diagnose, and fix incidents at required Service Levels.
- Participate in on-call rotations with the engineering team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Experience with distributed systems and streaming technologies, including Apache Kafka.
- Expertise in database cluster deployment, configuration, backup/restore, and production operations.
- Experience operating services on Linux systems and container technologies.
- Good knowledge of monitoring solutions and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Bash.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, collaborative mindset, and excellent organizational skills.
- Curiosity to learn new things and discover new technologies.
- Strong communication skills and professional level of English.
