Predoctoral Researcher in Neuromuscular and Mitochondrial Diseases

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Predoctoral researcher to join our Research group on Neuromuscular and Mitochondrial diseases. The successful candidate will participate in the project "Identification of factors regulating mitochondrial respiratory complex I function and stability: exploring novel opportunities for therapeutic intervention (TARGETCOMPLEX-I)".
Responsibilities- Collaborate in the generation, management, and biochemical/molecular characterization of genetically modified mice.
- Design and conduct in vivo and in vitro preclinical assays for complex I deficiency.
- Write manuscripts and present results at local and international meetings.
- Contribute to the general shared tasks of the laboratory.
- Bachelor's (300 ECTS credits) or Master's Degree in biomedical sciences (or equivalent).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- High motivation, reliability, and initiative.
- Strong scientific curiosity.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Incorporation to Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), a public sector institution that promotes and develops biomedical research, innovation, and teaching at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.
