Job Title: Staff Accountant

Invenergy Services International Spain S.L. (Inactive) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Madrid. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting our Senior Accountant with day-to-day project accounting functions, including development, construction, and operational energy projects, as well as corporate accounting tasks in Spain.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and project workbooks to support balance sheet and income statement
  • Ensure accuracy of all general ledger information
  • Assist with annual audit work and coordinate projects treasury, banking, and cash flow analysis
  • Monitor tax compliance and accounting activities within Invenergy group internationally, with special focus in Spain
  • Support the preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly tax returns filings (VAT and Withholding Tax) in Spain
  • Support the provision and calculations of Corporate Income Tax in Spain
  • Assist in other administrative tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, business administration, economics, or law
  • Basic understanding of IFRS and/or Spanish GAAPIFRS or USGAAP specialization course is a plus but not required
  • Basic knowledge in accounting software is a plus (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
  • Intermediate level of English preferred
  • Intrinsically motivated with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
