About the Role
As the Marketing Operations Director at DataCamp, you will optimize and streamline our marketing processes and systems to enhance the effectiveness of our business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing efforts. This senior-level, individual contributor role will focus on building a world-class marketing technology stack, integrating multiple data sources, and providing actionable insights to drive our marketing strategy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and data science, to ensure alignment and efficiency in our marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive marketing technology stack that supports both our B2C and B2B go-to-market (GTM) motions.
- Ensure seamless data flow and integration across various systems, including customer relationship management (CRM) software, email automation tools, marketing automation systems, and appointment-setting tools.
- Oversee and optimize lead flow, management, segmentation, scoring, and funnel processes.
- Drive growth through the implementation of automated processes and streamlined operational workflows.
- Work closely with the Data Analytics & Engineering team to provide clear and agile views into marketing campaign performance, revenue, and pipeline generation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track key marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Continuously assess and rationalize the marketing tech stack, ensuring optimal performance and return on investment (ROI).
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve data quality, system integrations, and operational processes.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day programming of marketing campaigns and workflows.
- Enable and train marketing team members to perform their own campaigns using the marketing automation tool.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for marketing tools and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing operations and technology.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations and analytics in a business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) environment.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and marketing automation tools.
- Experience with email tools and reverse ETL and no-code automation tools.
- Knowledge of analytics tools and data science teams to integrate multiple data sources for actionable insights.
- Track record of building world-class marketing tech stacks, systems, and processes enabling global marketing teams.
