Transportation Leader - EMEA

At Axalta, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that protect our customers' products and enhance their value. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping our transportation strategy and ensuring seamless logistics operations across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a transportation strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day domestic transportation operations, including packaged truck, small package, and bulk transportation.
  • Partner with Logistics Procurement to select and implement carrier strategies.
  • Drive policy change or improvement initiatives through data analytics and trends.
  • Manage our Logistics Freight Process and ensure close monitoring of invoicing-related activities.
  • Collaborate with external providers, such as Transporeon, to optimize our logistics operations.
  • Participate in special projects, including new carrier implementations and vendor invoice delivery.
  • Manage invoicing processes within our Freight Audit system.
  • Define carrier management levels based on selection criteria.
  • Support the financial budgeting process, including freight accruals.
  • Establish best-in-class partnerships with carriers and execute review meetings.
  • Develop and maintain carrier/transportation scorecards and evaluate carrier performance.
  • Provide reporting and visibility on operational and financial metrics.
  • Deliver analytics and insights to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree and minimum of 5 years of supply chain, logistics, or operations experience.
  • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience leading a team.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage project portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and carrier management.
  • Experience with hazardous transportation operations and knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Strong SAP knowledge and experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Robust analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of CRM tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
