GeoAnalyticsGeoAnalytics is a sub-team in X.Delivery with expertise in geospatial data, analytics, and technology. Our 35+ member team is a global resource, working with clients in every BCG region and in every industry area.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an Analyst in GeoAnalytics to solve a variety of location-based analytical problems for our clients. You will utilize your knowledge of geospatial data and analytics while using tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Python, and visualization/analytical platforms.
Responsibilities- Utilize geospatial data and analytics to solve location-based problems for clients
- Develop and implement geospatial solutions using GIS, Python, and visualization/analytical platforms
- Conduct web-based research for open data sources and handle, understand, and assess new datasets
- Stitch together disparate datasets to conduct custom analyses
- Apply geospatial data, tools, and technology to solve problems for businesses across multiple topics
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in GeoAnalytics with an advanced degree preferred
- Relevant degree in a geospatial-related field such as Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, Statistics/GeoStatistics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Previous experience working in a global organization or professional services firm is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in GIS software, descriptive statistics, statistical methods, data management, data science programming, and business intelligence/data visualization platforms
