About BCG XBCG X is our premier data science and advanced analytics capability, comprising over 1,000 data scientists, engineers, and analysts globally. Within BCG X, our X.Delivery Teams leverage available tools and code bases to deliver powerful and specialized insights that help our clients tackle their most pressing business problems. Our GeoAnalytics team is a sub-team within X.Delivery, specializing in geospatial data, analytics, and technology.
About the RoleWe are seeking an Analyst to join our GeoAnalytics team. As a GeoAnalytics Analyst, you will be solving a variety of location-based analytical problems for our clients. You will utilize your knowledge of geospatial data and analytics while using tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Python, and visualization/analytical platforms (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx). You will leverage a range of techniques such as geospatial clustering, network analysis, location-based optimization, and predictive analytics/modeling. You will be expected to distill insights from your analysis and link them to business objectives.
What You'll Bring- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in GeoAnalytics with an advanced degree preferred
- Relevant degree in a geospatial-related field such as Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, Statistics/GeoStatistics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Previous experience working in a global organization or professional services firm is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in GIS software, descriptive statistics, statistical methods, data management, data science programming, and business intelligence/data visualization platforms
- Ability to conduct web-based research, handle, understand, and assess new datasets, and stitch together disparate datasets to conduct custom analyses
