Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physical Digital Design Engineer to join our team at Monolithic Power Systems. This role will be based in one of our European offices, with a focus on on-site work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of physical design and implementation, including the development and verification of digital and mixed-signal ICs. They will participate in the establishment of physical design methodologies and flow automation, and work closely with the design development team to implement and verify ICs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital and mixed-signal ICs, including chip and block floorplanning, power and clock distribution, and chip assembly.
  • Work closely with the digital and analog design teams to implement and verify custom analog blocks and interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain automated environments for RTL-to-PNR using high-level languages and DevOps-like services.
  • Collaborate with the design development team to establish physical design methodologies and flow automation.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in physical digital design, with a focus on ASIC design and verification.
  • Strong knowledge of ASIC development processes and digital design techniques.
  • Experience with programming, scripting, and automation languages such as Perl, TCL, and Unix.
  • Strong technical abilities and understanding in areas such as Verilog coding, synthesis, LEC, CTS, DFT, RC extraction, and STA closure.
  • Experience with industry-standard physical design tools, including Cadence and Synopsys.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced nodes below 16nm, FinFETs, and SOC design.
  • Knowledge of power management industry applications and interfaces.
  • Experience with DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Knowledge of FPGA development and design.
