About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Admiral Seguros. As a key member of our Risk function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company meets the required governance and risk management Solvency II regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Governance: Support the Head of Risk in ensuring that our company's risk management framework is aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Risk Assessment and Monitoring: Collaborate with the Risk function to identify, assess, and monitor risks across our EU businesses, providing a consolidated view of risks and reviewing risk and control frameworks.
  • Risk Policy and Framework Development: Facilitate the development of risk policies and risk appetite for our EU businesses, ensuring alignment with our company's risk policies, risk tolerance limits, and guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support the business in embedding risk and capital assessments into decision-making processes, promoting a strong risk and control culture across Europe.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports and presentations for our Board, Group Committees, and the Spanish Regulator, providing insights into our company's risk profile and emerging risks.
Requirements
  • Operational Risk Management Experience: Proven experience in operational risk management and the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
  • Corporate Governance Knowledge: Experience in corporate governance functions, including Risk, Compliance, Internal Controls, or Audit.
  • Financial Services Background: 3+ years' experience in a Financial Services/Insurance environment, preferably with a strong understanding of Solvency II regulatory requirements and relevant EU directives.
  • Language Skills: C1/C2 English language proficiency.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to facilitate and lead group tasks and projects.
