Localization Software Engineer

Electronic Arts is seeking a highly skilled Localization Software Engineer to join our LOC Engineering, Games-Tech Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and game technology to enable the localization and internationalization of games to 20 languages or more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using C++ and C#.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements and prototypes into technical solutions.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers to ensure code quality, performance, and extensibility.
  • Maintain and refactor legacy code to improve our technology base and documentation.

Requirements:
  • University Degree (BSc) in Software Engineering or equivalent academic background.
  • 8+ years of professional experience designing and developing AAA games or equivalent, complex software solutions.
  • Highly skilled in C++ and C# development, with a special focus on performance and code quality.
  • Passion for developing, mentoring, and leading others.
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or Frostbite is a big plus.
  • Experience with unit testing and version control systems (Perforce, Git).
