Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement technical solutions for our cross-border payments application. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop application code, implementing technical solutions and configuring applications in response to business needs.
  • Participate in technical design and architecture of the application or its components, proposing appropriate solutions and promoting the reusability of existing components.
  • Manage changes, collaborate in technical analysis, implementation, and testing of approved projects, and participate in application maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance, aligning application changes with the application strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues associated with the application, ensuring maximum operational availability and stability, and promoting cost efficiency.
Requirements
  • Advanced English and Spanish required.
  • Knowledge and experience in systems and end-to-end processes.
  • Experience in Cobol/Cics/DB2 analysis and programming is a must.
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Development background and demonstrated experience as an analyst.
  • Experience in analyzing existing systems from high-level architecture to application code review.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand complex business processes and workflows.
  • Teamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • High commitment to results.
  • Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of methodologies in application development (e.g. Agile).
