As a key member of the Signode team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities across the globe. With a strong background in electrical and electronic engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the final supervision of new equipment installation and upgrades, establishing and maintaining communication protocols with external devices, and setting up and commissioning machines for production tests.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide expert remote assistance to customers and internal engineers, utilizing your knowledge of PLC programming, fault diagnosis, and code creation.
- Program, monitor, and write PLC code from scratch as necessary, ensuring that our equipment meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Travel to customer sites across Europe as needed, providing on-site support and training to ensure seamless integration of our equipment.
**Requirements:**
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree with a strong focus on automation and control systems.
- Proven experience in PLC programming, including fault diagnosis and code creation, with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and fault-finding.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is required, with French or German language skills a plus.
This is a mobile role, requiring frequent travel to customer sites across Europe. You will work from home or a local office when not onsite, and will have access to the latest tools and technologies to support your success.
